AMBULANCE CARE ASSISTANT (BANK)
The role of the ambulance care assistant involves conveying a wide range of patients to and from their homes to out-patients’ appointments, clinics, physiotherapy or non-urgent inter-hospital transfers. Crews are trained as ambulance care assistants with specialist knowledge of comprehensive first aid, driving skills and patient moving and handling techniques.
Succesful applicants must possess:
- An in date First Aid at Work Certificate or Pre-Hospital Care qualification (FREC3 or similar). Date of qualification must be within the last 2 years.
- A full UK driving license which has been held for a minimum of 1 year.
- Applicants must be 21yrs of age or older for insurance purposes.
- A full enhanced DBS application will be carried out at the applicants expense before any offer of employment can be given.
